Bergen to Narvik and thoughts on Snow
So here are in Narvik 68 degrees north with an airport more in the middle of nowhere than Moana. Probable because flat land is in short supply. There is also an air force base here so no photos/videos from the plane or on the ground. A symptom of having difficult neighbors perhaps. Also they may be needed to assist the Danes, when the USA ( the challenge of having difficult allies) invades Greenland.
So why Narvik you may be wondering gentle traveler, especially as to get here involved our 6th flight in 4 days. Initially, it was to follow the route of the iron ore train, which we will do when head to Lulea in Sweden in a couple of days. But also we watched this movie on Netflix which is set and filmed in Narvik and of course there is always why not.
Now to Snow,
Snow is like nature's face powder. When freshly applied it hide the impurities. However this is temporary and eventually the cracks, wrinkles, mud, dirt and detritus is revealed but until then all is serene. So enjoy the serenity, take a pause, and smell the roses until the facade dissolves and reality returns. I love snow!
