Hurry and then wait, and Are we there yet?
Dear Gentle Readers,
Oops I believe that this opening may have already be taken, so we could try Hello Fellow Travelers, however that has an entirely different meaning so perhaps leave that for something else.
There is also Gidday Mate but that doesn't do anything for me, so we shall start with.
Hello from the other side (apologies Adele).
Hurry and then wait describes travelling, especially air travel, as one hurries to get to the airport on time to finish check in, luggage drop, and then security only to then wait for boarding. A great opportunity to people watch however after being awake for 17 hours there was a very real chance that one may miss their onward connection as they were asleep in the Terminal 3 at Changi airport.
However I am getting ahead of myself as the first week of this trip included 3 days in Christchurch to attend my sister Christine's wedding to her beau Les. So there is a new Mrs. Richards and a new Mr. Sunitsch. Welcome both and thank you for including us in your celebration.
The Tai Tapu function center were very good host and it was lovely to catch up with family

So back to travelling and Singapore Airport only because it has the most amazing coffee shop I have ever seen, not having been a lot of places but it was magnificent. The photos probably won't do it justice.
So this brings us to Are We There Yet? And the answer is yes 47 hours and four flights later we are checked it our hotel in Bergen - Yay! First item on the agenda was a shower, then dinner, and then 12 hours of sleep so I am now functioning on Norwegian time.
PS - this weeks lotto numbers are the temperatures at our stops on the way and the final destination, 12, 22, 36, 9,11, ?
Dunedin 12, Auckland 22, Singapore 36, Copenhagen 9, Bergen 11. yes there is one missing - did you really think I would give you them all?
