Travel bloopers
Ok so travel never goes according to plan so here are some travel bloopers.
1. Went to grab my night gown (so posh) only to find I had packed my PJ bottoms...
2. Lost part of the heel of my shoe - time to get a new pair
3. Received a $150 gift voucher from Singapore Air as an apology for something the cleaners did. However we are yet to find out what if was for, but it makes up for the need to purchase the aforementioned nightwear.
4. Arrived at Copenhagen, followed the crowd, and nearly boarded a BA flight to London. Never knew I was so British as I spotted a queue and joined it. I blame 37 hours on the trot as we had neither passed immigration nor had our bags
5. English is most definitely the common language of travel, especially air travel with all comms on Singapore Air in English, no more for we sit in wonder until the English version is announced. Likewise on the Fjord cruise it was all in English.
6. The hotel room in Bergen is soooo warm 27degrees. Great for washing and then drying your smalls, a bit difficult when trying to sleep. I have yet to be cold, which isn't really a problem. According to the food and beverages server all homes, offices, shops etc. are heated to 22 degrees in Norway so, and I'm probably about to jinx things but a good southerly or perhaps a polar blast would blow the cobwebs away. A sunny 8 degrees today
7. So who knew that your lap top doesn't change time zones automatically, well me. So if anyone needs a flybussin ticket from the Harbour to the Airport on Anzac Day - do ley me know,
8. When using a day pass on the trams in Belgium don't jump off when it doesn't register with the ticket reader and by another ticket as you are probably scanning it on the wrong type of reader.
9. There's not much point to carrying tissues in case the train loo is out of toilet paper if you don't take it with you when you actually go to use the loo.
10. That's all folks.
