What a difference a night makes
Dear gentle readers and it was a gentle night for us with the double or even triple glazing although this didn't keep the church bells ringing out from ringing in the apartment, but it was a respectful hour and the good burgers wouldn't have much to worry about.
However that all changed as we left the apartment to get some supplies for breakfast, lunch and tea, as there were literally people running past our flat down the street and into the next one - hordes of them. It looked like a circuit around the terraced streets, thankfully - no steep changes in altitude. Then when we meandered down to the lake from there were more of them, all of this made is very tricky to cross the street. Well apparently this was all part of the Lausanne 20k marathon event, which comprised of various events over the weekend.
So runners and children playing tag nimbly sidestepped we explored the old part of the city and the waterfront. So some dude and dudette statutes, roofs, church, tower, runners, and other bits for your enjoyment.
